Jersey Shore mini photography sessions! Aug 2nd 2017 in Stone Harbor NJ
Hey everyone!! I know it’s been a while. I’ve been busy.. and I’ve totally neglected my blog and most of social media (aside from a couple posts here & there). Sorry for being MIA! I promise, all is well.. but I’ve been longing for a beach day- and one has finally been set up! Next Wednesday (Aug 2nd) I’ll be in Stone Harbor NJ doing mini sessions on the beach! I highly recommend you play hooky from work and swing by with the kiddos. We all need a mental health day from time to time, and the beach is the best place for rest, relaxation, and adorable family photos. (If you don’t believe me, take it from the mermaid.. 😍)
I’ll see you there?! Shoot me a message to set up your session!

Things you may not know about me:
- I love the beach. Although I typically don’t go in the ocean deeper than my knees, I absolutely love the feeling of sand between my toes, sun on my skin & the sound of waves crashing on the beach. Few places on Earth top that on my personal list of faves. 😉
- I love my family. I’ve posted before about losing my mom over 11 years ago, and my brother over 3 years ago… So I absolutely cherish every moment with my dad & sister.
- My dad remarried in 2010, and my stepmom & her family are awesome. I know not everyone can utter those words, so I wanted to make sure I made note of how grateful I am for that. “Blended” families can be challenging, as we sometimes have YEARS as one family unit, only to have things change (sometimes suddenly, sometimes it’s a gradual change over many years). And change is hard. But sometimes change can lead to really positive things, so it’s important not to fear it.
- I haven’t been on a vacation with my family since I was a child (MAYBE when I was about 12). Until a few weeks ago.
I originally wanted this blog post to be a bit of a “vacation diary” (I even started it two days before I left!) But I decided to try to step away from technology for the majority of vacation (aside from my camera, of course 😉) So I’ll just let the pictures be the “visual diary” for my vacation… Enjoy!
It had been WAY too long since the last time I did a beach mini session day. So.. we finally fixed that in July. We had gorgeous weather and lots of smiles… Well worth the wait 😉
First up… THIS adorable family.
No beach session is complete without some running & jumping in sand piles!
The evolution of this picture was TOO cute not to post them all. The love between these two was so apparent… it just made my heart melt!
Not only am I super jealous of his eyelashes, but these smiles are just too much to handle!
And this laugh is enough to fill your heart with happiness all on its own!
Next up is a very special family that I’ve been lucky enough to watch grow over the last THREE YEARS. Alex was my very first newborn session. And you may also recognize Miss Sydney.. She was the beautiful rainbow baby from the birth I photographed in December!!
And this sibling love is incredible. The photo on the top right is Sydney watching her brother cry. You can see the concern in her face.. and then bottom right shows Alex trying to hug his sister (kind of awkwardly but still adorable). And the photo on the left is really self explanatory. SO. MUCH. LOVE.
And last but not least, another gorgeous family filled with smiles, laughter & fun!
Someone sure did love throwing pebbles & shells into the bay!
She also loved the water!!!
There actually wasn’t much she didn’t love about spending time at the beach. 🙂
I loved all of these beach sessions!! We all had a blast and I think it was apparent in these photos!
