Anton Michael {newborn}

I met RenΓ©e & Stephen through my cousin Melanie. They were expecting their first child and we spent RenΓ©e’s first Mother’s Day doing a belly casting of her adorable baby bump at 37 weeks… and only four days later, sweet baby Anton arrived early! We could not have timed this project more perfectly! It took me a little longer to finish getting the belly bowl ready, but he still fit just perfect for his newborn photos almost two weeks later.

The evolution of the belly cast bowl – raw cast with sharp edges, cut down then additional gauze added to make edges thicker, additional plaster added for stability, then sanded and painted for final product – READY FOR PHOTOS!

Belly casting was SO fun and RenΓ©e and Stephen were thrilled with the outcome. They have incredible pictures of exactly how their sweet baby fit in mom’s tummy, and they have a perfect keepsake to show him when he’s older! I’m so ready to do another belly cast bowl… who wants one?! πŸ˜‰
